Project "PMInter" - Analysis of airborne particulate matter in Maribor and Vrbanski Plato and measurement of gaseous nitric acid and particulate nitrate in the atmosphere

01.12.2011 - 31.08.2013
Assigned research project
Chemical characterization and source analysis of PM10 from two Slovenian sampling sites. The analyses are part of the Interreg IV A Slovenian - Austrian project PMinter. The concentrations of the carbonaceous species EC and OC, of anhydous sugars (wood smoke tracers), soluble ions and secondary organic aerosol (HULIS) as well as the relation of the isotopes C12/C14 shall be used for the source contribution of traffic and wood smoke to PM10. These anayses sall also be used to calibrate an on-line instrument for the measurement of BC. Additionally the distribution of gasous nitric acid and particulate nitrate in the atmosphere is measured at one site.
