Artificial radioactivity in Austria after the Fukushima reactor accident - a pilot study

In the current project, radioanalytical investigation of various samples is projected, with focus on radionuclides from the Fukushima reactor accident. In a broad screening, it shall be clarified, 1) whether or not the Fukushima reactor accident increased the level of environmental radioactivity in Austria and 2) which environmental media can be recommended for in-depth investigations in the future, namely the radiological risk assessment and dose estimation for the Austrian population.
