After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform basic parametrization and testing of protection devices for power systems. They will be able to calculate current and voltage conditions for phase-to-ground-failures in three-phase systems with different neutral grounding and to measure and understand the problem of the feedback effects of non-linear loads on the electrical system. Students will be able to measure, document and interpret energy management in island grids with renewable infeed.
Measurements on power protection devices, phase-to-ground-faults in power grids, power quality, island grids with renewable generation
Group work, execution and documentation of measurements, script
