Aim of course

Presentation and explanation of the most common material failures emphasizing their identification, examination and prevention.

Subject of course

Material failures of productions plants will be presented, which are focused on mechanical and thermal overload, corrosion, selected welding problems, applied materials science and fracture mechanics. Further applied testing methods and corrective measures for failure prevention are covered.
