After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the relationship between architecture and space, to analyse locations with regard to their spatial qualities, to grasp the parameters of drafting and design and to derive knowledge for their own design work.
The content of this course is the analytical preparation and the visit to a specific selection of locations that display a special relationship between architecture and space. The students will practise how to deal with confrontation in special focal points in the architectural space during the excursion in order to be able to analyse, document and evaluate the architectural quality of these locations.
On-site visits and presentations, analysis and documentation of the visit and discussion. Preparation in small groups.
Preference is given to participants from the module RG (Raumgestaltung und Entwerfen) (Spatial Design and Planning).
