Aim of course

COURSE IS PART OF MODUL CULTURAL SPACES

The course provides an introduction into the demands on scientists in research projects in architecture which are dealing with cultural spaces and identity. 

Using concrete examples, an insight into the research reality is offered. The aim is to provide a base to independently develop a concept for a research project.

Subject of course

A lecture series gives insight into the multiple problems with contemporary as well as future world heritage sites in the Black Sea region of Turkey. On example of various projects, the historic background in relation to the current status of the architectural heritage in context of natural and cultural heritage will be dealt with. Questions of adequate heritage protection and maintenance of this regional as well as supra regional cultural space will be discussed and contemporary, integral planning concepts will be developed.
