After successful completion of the course, students are able to trace the historical development of independent styles from Boston to San Francisco and the contrasts of constructive formulation from the High-Rise in New York to the Urban Sprawl in Los Angeles.

If more than 20 students are interested in taking part in the excursion, a selection process is carried out based on letters of motivation.

Prerequisite for participation is the course "Architecture in North America", which has either already been completed or is attended in the summer term 2024.
