After successful completion of the course, students are able to take part in the discourse on exemplary special topics from the history of architecture and to apply scientific working methods in writing and orally.

In the “Deepening Architectural History” seminar we analyze together with the students selected buildings by Denise Scott Brown und Robert Venturi, Charles Moore, Philip Johnson, Ricardo Bofill, James Stirling, Michael Graves, Aldo Rossi, Hans Hollein and others, in which a wide variety of international influences in terms of design and typology as well as technical innovations manifested themselves. Students give presentations on the status of their research work either as part of smaller excursions in Vienna or in the seminar room and they take part in discussions.
Attendance at the opening event of the seminar on October 5th, 2023 is a prerequisite for further participation in the module!
