Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to compile a Material Passport (MP) for building elements and are familiar with the MP-method, which is based on the method from IBO (Austrian Institute for Building and Ecology).

Subject of course

Presentation of the MP-method and MGP-tools (eco2soft/Excel)

Introduction to the EI 10 method (disposal indicator for buildings)

Consideration of the Life cycle: production, use/operation, demolition

  • Compilation of a MP for selected building components by consideration of the connection types and lifespans of component layers
  • Use of data sets from baubook (eco2soft)

Teaching methods

Introduction in the MP-method and presentation of relevant methods, on which the MP is based. Compilation of an MP for selected building components.
