Aim of course

Discussing recent scientific publications Master and PhD students in physics should learn about current scientific developments in theoretical quantum dynamics.

Subject of course

(Quantum) Physics:

  • on the nanoscale (new materials, Graphene, Quantum chaos)

  • on ultrashort time scales (atoms, molecules, and solids in extremely short laser pulses)

  • at ultracold temperatures (matter waves, Bose-Einstein condensates, atoms in optical lattices)

Additional information

How it works: each week 1-2 publications will be covered which should have been read by everyone. After a short informal presentation by one student there will be a group discussion.

Theoretical as well as experimental articles will be covered.
