Examination modalities

Two written exams (85%):

In both exams 40% of the points are needed as a minimum.

An additional test at the beginning of the SS2018 can replace the exam in which less points have been gained.

Time of tests: 2 1/2 hours; exam tasks from lectures and tutorials; take with you pen(s) ,  1 DIN A4 page (single side)

 Tutorium/"Kreuzerlübung" (15%):

At the beginning of each tutorium the students mark those exercises which they have prepared. If the student presents one of these at the black board, a weighting factor between 0 and 1 will be gained,  The Tutorium will be evaluated accoring to the Eq.:

Minimum  (% of marked exercises, mean weighting factor for the black board presentation)

The Tutorium with the least points is not included  ( "Streichresult"  for not prepared Tutorium or for missed tutorium in case of illness),

Of the combined points (tests and tutorium) 50% are needed for passing, 62.5% for a grade of 3, 75% for a grade of 2, and 87.5% for a grade of 1.
