After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the principles of electricity and magnetism, to elucidate the laws of electrodynamics as well the correlation between electricity and magnetism. Students learn to independently work on problems related to the lecture.
Basic course in classic electrodynamics (electricity, magnetism)
Lecture with digital presentation and demonstration of experiments to visualize physical laws, accompanied exercises during which physical problems related to the lecture are solved.
Lectures start daily (Mon, Tue, Wed) at 10:15 and are sheduled to approx. 11:45.
On Wed 01.03.2023 General Information on the Exercises is given at 10:00 (Prof. R. Wilhelm), followed by first lecture starting at 10:15.
Further information will be published in due course in TUWEL and/or the documents accompanying the course
The final grade is given according to the results of the weekly exercises and the exams. Details on the mode for this course are given in the description (PDF file) found in TISS.
Use Group Registration to register.
The course is based on the book:Demtröder, W.: Experimentalphysik 2, "Elektrizität und Optik", Springer-Verlag, 7. Auflage, 2017Having an earlier edition of the book is not a substantial disadvantage as various editions differ only slightly.
