Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to calculate important parameters of the Earth gravity fields and to work with time variable gravity fields from satellite observations and derive relevant quantities from these data sets.

Subject of course

Calculation and interpolation of functionals of he disturbing gravity potential (geoid undulation, gravity anomalý, deflecion of the vetical).based on field measurements of global Earth gravity models.Calculation of gravity field corrections to geodetic measurements. Reference Ellipsoid.

Use of data from satelite gravity missions (e.g. GRACE.GOCE).

Teaching methods

Joint development of practical examples during the exercise, independent elaboration of exercises with respective instructions.

Die erste Einheit findet am 13.03.2024 um 11:00 im Seminarraum 02B, 2.Stock , grüner Turm statt.

In dieser Stunde wird das Format der Lehrveranstaltung besprochen und die erste Übungsaufgabe ausgegeben.

Die Übung wird voraussichtlich jede dritte Woche (Osterferien ausgenommen) in Präsenz stattfinden und die Präsentation der letzten Aufgabe durch eine Studierendengruppe (abhängig von der Anzahl der Anmeldungen), sowie die Ausgabe der nächsten Aufgabe zum Inhalt haben.
