Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the creation of the following photogrammetric products:

  • Stereoscopic measurement of points and lines using a photogrammetric workstation
  • Planar rectification
  • Image orientation using aerial triangulation
  • Elevation model using image matching
  • Orthophoto

Subject of course

Stereoscopic viewing and measurement, as well as plotting using a digital photogrammetric work station. Solve a mathematical problem dealing with perspective transformation. Aerotriangulation using a digital photogrammetric work station and evaluation of results. Generation of a digital terrain model and an orthophoto. Orientation of terrestrial laser scans. One excursion to the surveying department of the Municipality of Vienna (MA 41).

Teaching methods

  • Calculation of examples using given real data.
  • Application of existing software.
  • Working in groups of 3 persons.
