disSNG-Decentral Conversion of Biomass to Substitute Natural Gas

01.09.2009 - 30.08.2012
Research funding project
Aim of the project is is development of the main technologies for the decentral production of Substitute Natural Gas from biomass. The separation of decentral gas production and usage of the gas opens new possibilities in production of power and heat (CHP) from biomass. By combination of hot gas cleaning with a pressurised allothermal gasifier (heat pipe reformer), a simplification of the conversion from biomass to mehtane is reached and already in small scale an economic and efficient operation of this technology is possible.
