Adjustment of the current parking regulations to the aims of land use planning (incl. 2 workshops and publication)

14.08.2007 - 31.05.2010
Assigned research project
On behalf of the the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management (BMLFUW) the Institute for Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering compiled and analyzed regulations and guidelines regarding the number and organisation of parking spaces for motorized individual transport for Austria in the face of improvement of environmental states. These basic principles have to be reduced to practice now. To accelerate the process two workshops with discussions have to take place with the involved local and regional authorities. The result of the discussions should be recommendations for practice which should be published in an adequate way.
