The Master Plan "Wiener Neustadt 2020" is based on a thematic spatial survey of the status quo and detailed descriptions of the characteristic features of the built-up spaces and the natural space. The Master Plan is a regarded as a framework for the spatio-structural development of the urban space and draw up area-specific guidelines for this development. The relevant maps and plans have been produced on a scale of 1:15.000 - 1:25.000. Discussions, conferences and meetings took place in all phases of the project. A particular focus was put on sustainable urban development.
