Viscous approximations of quantum Euler-Poisson systems
01.01.2008 - 31.12.2009
Research funding project
Quantum Euler-Poisson equations are important macroscopic models in the modeling of semiconductor devices. In this project, viscous versions of these equations will be analyzed. The project goals are (1) non-uniqueness of solutions and bifurcation in the quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) equations, (2) study of Lent-Kirkner boundary conditions, (3) new estimates for viscous QHD models, (4) the existence of solutions to viscous QHD models.
