The project focuses on a designated area bounded by Košická, Prievozská, Hraničná, and Prístavná streets, encompassing a total of 341 acres (approximately 138 hectares), with 80% of the space available for new development. It aims to establish a neighborhood guided by the principles of a compact and sustainable city, embodying the concept of a 15-minute city where residents have access to essential services within walking distance. Key development aspects include replacing incremental construction with block development, creating vibrant streets and public spaces with parks, implementing a new tram line as the main transportation mode, and designing a modern urban boulevard prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists. Furthermore, 40% of the area will consist of public spaces, including 28 acres (approximately 11.3 hectares) of green areas, with smaller parks located within 200 meters and larger parks within 600 meters of residences. The transportation plan includes 1.5 kilometers of new tram lines with three stops, while individual car access will be prioritized around the new district. Community amenities such as shops, preschools, primary schools, playgrounds, health and social services, and cultural facilities will also be incorporated. This development is expected to enhance the urban landscape of Bratislava significantly, fostering a modern, sustainable, and inviting urban environment for its inhabitants.
