Assigned research project
Research activities in the field of tribology, especially in tribosensorics, modelling and simulation of tribosystems, and moreover in the field of bio-tribology. The focus of investigations is primarily new sensor concepts for determination of wear intensity, especially using methods of micro system technology, diagnosis of material alterations, conditions of damaging and damaging effects of lubricants. Modelling and simuation will be applied for studies in the field of contact mechanics and surfaace stresses as tool for wear process analysis. Researches in the field of biotribology concerns mechanical-dynamical investigations with highly advanced tribometers as well as stress analyses and investigations of intermediate substances in this field of application.
