European Research Programme for the Transmutation of High Level Nuclear Waste in an Accelerator Driven System
01.03.2005 - 31.03.2011
Research funding project
This Euratom project is aimed at the research and development towards an accelerator driven system (ADS) for the transmutation of radioactive waste. The involved working group of TU Wien has the primary task to develop a theoretically based formalism for the determination of covariance matrices of angle-integrated cross sections of neutron-induced reactions, which can be used for strongly model dependent nuclear data evaluations. The applicaility of the newly developed method should be demonstrated at the example of neutron-induced reactions on lead.
