Today¿s and tomorrow¿s security challenges demand close public and private interaction. This in turn requires a new command and control framework that brings together public and private actors. While public and private actors each use their own command and control systems a comprehensive approach that brings together existing systems and helps overcome known shortfalls is still missing. This gap will be closed with the proposed research project STRATFÜSYS. STRATFÜSYS will define the conceptual building blocks to establish a strategic foresight process, modeling & simulation capabilities and a collaborative knowledge management environment to support public-private security cooperation. To this purpose STRATFÜSYS will be conducted in close cooperation with other KIRAS projects, in particular in the field of a roles-based public-private common operational picture.
