SolarCoolingOpt - Optimizing solar cooling systems on the basis of efficient equipment and innovative control strategies

01.10.2010 - 31.12.2013
Research funding project

Solar thermal cooling systems can only make energetic sense if they consume significantly less electrical energy than conventional compression chillers. Unfortunately, in many realised systems that is not the case. Therefore, this project aims at reducing the primary energy consumption of solar thermal cooling systems by means of improved system configurations, improved components and control algorithms.
