SNOW - Formation of snow crystals in artificial clouds for snow production
01.01.2011 - 31.12.2012
Research funding project
SNOW will investigate the formation of snow crystals inside a closed chamber where conditions of a natural cloud are simulated. The produced snow is similar to natural snow. The new technology represents an ecologically and more efficient alternative to conventional technical snow production. The contribution of the Institute of Chemical Engineering will involve computational fluid dynamics and flow measurement of spray nozzles.
