Scatterometer Instrument Competence Centre

24.06.2014 - 23.06.2016
Assigned research project
The Scatterometer Instrument Competence Centre (SCIRoCCo) is a project issued by the European Space Agency (ESA) with the objective to set up an international and interdisciplinary competence centre for Scatterometer data exploitation and improvement. The SCIRoCCo consortium members aspire the generation and distribution of consistent calibrated raw scatterometer data to improve existing applications like wind vector fields and surface soil moisture and the development of new ones. Furthermore, the consortium intends to achieve the widest dissemination of the derived datasets and of software tools for processing these data to foster the exploitation of the dataset and the innovation in scatterometry.
