Seamless Campus - Distance Labs

01.08.2004 - 31.12.2007
Research funding project
TU Vienna's FIT-IT project "Seamless Campus: Distance Labs" is devoted to the development of a distance learning approach for embedded systems labs. It consists of a web infrastructure and, depending upon the particular lab content, custom carry-out equipment or remote workplaces. Two major courses of our Bakkalaureatsstudium "Technische Informatik", namely, "Microcontroller" and "Digital Design", will be used as demonstrators. The ultimate vision is to extend the "everytime, everywhere" access enabled by the project's results to all major embedded systems labs at TU Vienna, thereby both increasing our educational capacity and better serving the special needs of handicapped or employed students.
