Processor for ASCAT based soil moisture product

Assigned research project
The objective is to develop software for near-real-time (NRT) processing of global METOP ASCAT surface soil moisture products. The software will be implemented at EUMETSAT¿s central Product Processing Facility in Darmstadt, Germany. The ASCAT surface soil moisture products will be used for numerical weather prediction (NWP) applications and, after merging with auxiliary date sets, for a range of other applications, including hydrology, agro-meteorology and climate change research.
