The mission of the Earth Observation Data Centre for Water Resources Monitoring (EODC- Water) GmbH, which will be founded by the consortium members of this proposal in early 2014, will be to work together with its partners from science, the public- and the private sector in order to foster the use of earth observation data in support of monitoring of global water resources. It will do so by providing collaborative information technology (IT) infrastructure for archiving, processing and distributing earth observation (EO) data. The aim of this proposal is to set up the IT infrastructure of EODC-Water and to prepare the centre and its partners for its initial services.
