The project "Possibilities of utilisation of deep geothermal energy in the Viennese Basin" should serve the acquisition, the assessment and the representation of the possibility to utilize geothermal resources in the northern and central Viennese Basin from the economic points of view as well as form a basis for a complementary activity field of the OMV AG as a supplier of renewable energy. The topic is handled by an interdisciplinary research council from different geologic-geotechnical as well as energetic, energy-economic and economic partners.
