Tool for the assessment of infrastructure costs of local authorities in Lower Austria

Target of the project is to develop a planning tool as web application (¿calculator of infrastructure costs in Lower Austria¿) that enables the ex-ante estimation of long-term fiscal effects of urban development projects (Residential, mixed-use and commercial estates). Both infrastructure requirements and fiscal revenues for the local municipality (induced by additional demand, residents and employees) are taken into account. The tool can be implemented for specific areas and in different planning alternatives and aims to optimize planning decisions at an early stage.
