Consulting services for linking and integrating learning, space and organisation at UTN.
Work package: Revision and updating of the ‘Design Guidelines for Learning Spaces’. This includes:
- A structural and spatial specification of the diversity of learning spaces and the possibility of using them flexibly, sequentially and repeatedly, interpreting them or changing them.
- Descriptions in the form of plans, sketches, pictograms and explanatory texts.
- Supplementing previously missing aspects in the organisation, the development and use of learning spaces and the organisation of learning in physical and virtual spaces.
- Statements relating in particular to the spatial and organisational relationship between teaching staff and learning spaces, as well as to the mixing of learning spaces with other uses and the formation and modification of functional clusters. The ‘Teaching/Learning Model’ is taken into account, as are other strategies and guidelines issued by the university management, e.g. on promoting innovation.
- Output 1: Project Documentation: ‘Learning – Space – Organisation at UTN’ including graphic representation of various learning spaces and multiple uses

- Validation of space requirements and quality standards for construction phase 2, as well as further strategies and concepts based on the results of user participation and the findings from WP1.
- Validation of further strategies and plans, primarily to enable modern learning concepts, taking into account the wishes of the (future) professors, cluster formations, and conversions.
- Output 2: Comments on M4 for construction phase 2 and on further strategies and plans for the UTN
