Tube Hydroforming is a well accepted production technology in the automotive industry. Usually, a heat treatment between two consecutive hydroforming steps is necessary to reduce effects of work hardening. Local heat treatment by laser radiation is used to influence the material flow during forming operation and reduce the duration of the process chain.
