Concepts for coordination of autonomously working linear axes are the topic of this project. This concepts are developed based on the standard IEC 61499 that enables control applications without any central PLC. With a gantry system the feasibility of the developed concepts will be demonstrated. As final result a library of function blocks for motion control is to be suggested. This library can form the foundation for industrial applications.The project is funded by the city of Vienna through the ¿Hochschuljubiläumsstiftung der Stadt Wien¿
