New challenges for reducing agents in smelting reduction process
01.07.2008 - 30.06.2015
Research funding project
Main project goal is a further development of a CFD based model for the simulation of the raceyway injection of secondary reducing agents. The model shall include reaction kinetics, variability with regard to physical and chemical parameters of the reducing agents used. Various simulation runs applying a variety of reducing agents and/or combination under various operating conditions. Simulation runs shall be validated by experimental data supplied by project partners. Additionally, a new raceway model based on the Euler-Granular model shall be set-up and tested.
