The estimation of the interaction of tunnels with foundation structures is an engineering challenging issue. Using the example of the bracing of the A26 highway bridge in Linz, fundamental investigations regarding the minimum overburden of tunnels in the neighborhood of bracing structures are carried out with the help of three-dimensional numerical model calculations.
