Identification of an adaptive Wiener-model for sedation of intensive care patients

01.01.2007 - 30.04.2007
Eigenprojekt
Large variations in the pharmacokinetics as well as in the pharmacodynamics exist in the sedation of intensive care patients. These variations not only exist between different patients but due to the long stay at the intensive care unit also the parameters of an individual patient can vary considerably. The mathematical model consists of a dynamic linear part followed by a static sigmoid nonlinearity. This globally nonlinear modell is approximated by local linear models. This adaptive model should be implemented on-line and additionally the boundaries of the local models should be adapted automatically.
