Development of compact modular pump turbine for decentral energy storage

01.03.2011 - 28.02.2014
Research funding project
The project HYDMOD aims to reduce CO2 emissions due to the use of an innovation in decentralized pump storage. This will be reached by a modular approach in the design of the components which includes also saving cost. Further objectives are a self-contained starting, the ability of off-grid operation and support the recovery of the main power grid after a break-down.
