HETMAT - cooperation FR-ES-HU, AlSiGe/Mg

01.04.2007 - 31.12.2012
Proprietary project
Vienna University of Technology is partner of the European Research network ¿HETMAT ¿ Heterogeneous Materials¿ contracted with CNRS-France. The cooperation covers scientific research on cellular metals, metal matrix composites, light alloys, cast iron, synchrotron diffraction, tomography and modelling. Research visits are enabled and network meetings are organised annually. International research projects are organised and multi-laterally performed. The ternary Al-Si-Mg, respectively Ge developed at INP-Grenoble are investigated at the institute at TU-Wien by metallographic techniques, by dilatometry and micro-calorimetry. Eutectic alloys are to be developed the intermetallic phase of which acts as reinforcement increasing the elevated temperature resistance. Multinational Mobilityprogram of ÖAAD
