Fiscal effects of urban development projects

01.07.2010 - 31.12.2011
Assigned research project
The study analyses the fiscal effects of urban planning by examining two development projects in Vienna of different scale and urbanistic characteristics. In an integrative fiscal impact analysis the main project-induced initial and follow-up costs for infrastructure facilities are taken into account, as well as fiscal returns such as fees, taxes and real estate revenues. Considering the periods of planning, development and utilisation, calculations are set up for a planning horizon of 40 years.
