Exergetic optimization of energy flows for smart city Leoben

The use of existing resources or respectively the energy flows is the basis for a prospective
smart structure of local supply in urban areas. Based on an exergy analysis of the industrial site
Leoben, the project Smart Exergy Leoben will explore, which technological solutions could be
used to adjust the existing energy supply on the basis of existing local resources in terms of an
optimal and significant increase in primary energy efficiency. In particular the focus is on
additional links of energy networks involving key industrial enterprises in the industry site
Leoben in terms of an enhanced integrated entire approach for a smart supply of resources and
to prepare an increasing integration of renewable energies.
