Municipality Development Plan and Urban Development Plan Suhareka/Kosova

The purpose of the project is to enable the municipality of Suhareka to handle the ongoing development planning processes self-dependent. The following approach and project-structure is based on the engagement of the UT Vienna in the municipality development planning in Suhareka for several years. Six partly collateral main project components will be implemented for the empowerment of the municipality development planning: C1 Elaboration and analyses of planning criteria C2 Elaboration of the Municipality Development Plan C3 Elaboration of the Urban Development Plan C4 Small project C5 GIS Training C6 Data management concept Primary target group of the project is the population of the municipality who will benefit from a well-regulated spatial and economic development of the municipality. The local government which should be strengthened by a training on the job and a specific GIS-Training forms another main target group. Beyond Suhareka and in terms of higher education another important target group consists of the lectures and the students of the University Pristina profiting by the Know-How exchange with the University of Technology in Vienna.
