Feasibility Study concerning Soil Moisture Retrieval and Flood Forecasting for the Mekong River

The goal of the project is to investigate the feasibility of retrieving soil moisture from 25 km ERS/METOP scatterometer and 1 km ENVISAT ASAR data in the Mekong river catchment. Also, preliminary comparisons between soil moisture and river runoff shall be carried out.
