Commuting from remote regions to high schools: analysis onto parents-chartered school bus

Focus group interviews will be carried out with several stakeholders in the Ishinomaki region, Japan. The interview transcripts will be systematically analyzed. In addition, through a liaison with the City of Ishinomaki, questionnaire survey will be carried out with high-school students commuting from rural and remote areas. The results are synthesized and policy recommendation will be made to integrate such services into reorganized public transport services.
