BioH2-4Refineries - Production of hydrogen for refineries over biomass gasification

Research funding project
This project aims to develop the technical basis to produce hydrogen from biomass and to use this hydrogen in existing refinery units thus substituting hydrogen from fossil fuels. A demonstration unit with a capacity of app. 10.000 Nm3/h of H2 will be designed including the necessary gas purification units and the integration into an existing oil refinery. Finally the process will be economically evaluated.
