Employment Effects of the U2 Extension
28.04.2010 - 31.01.2011
Assigned research project
The objective of this study is to estimate the employment effects resulting from the extension of the subway line U2 (section from Schottenring to Seestadt Aspern) and to prepare the result for the PR and media relations of Wiener Linien. The focus of the study is on an in-depth survey of employment effects at the direct contractors involved in the structural construction work (direct employment effects). Additionally, our partners Joanneum Research and WIFO will use model calculations to estimate the employment at supplier firms (indirect effects).
