The goal is to develop cutting-edge software capable of identifying sustainable strategies for the design of building systems, automate the planning and configuration of Internet of Things (IoT) and Operational Technology (OT) devices across disciplines, hence generating the building systems Digital Twin autonomously. Digital Twins in constructions and engineering are dynamic, up-to-date representations of physical assets and devices. They combine design, construction, and real-time operational data. Based on Building Information Modelling, advanced analysis shall be conducted automatically to identify the most suitable systems for each individual building, and subsequently, device types (such as sensors, controllers, actuators, lights, etc), 3D spatial location, and configuration. Most of these devices need to be positioned according to national laws and regulations and partially factor in aesthetics - the process is currently carried out manually by multiple stakeholders and is therefore time- and resource-intensive. The final product will be a cloud-based solution that can be easily integrated on top of existing and widely used BIM planning software like Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, etc.
