Assigned research project
In this project sturgeon and carp glue are characterized and systematized. On the one hand the expensive and from the point of ecological policy problematic sturgeon adhesive used for restoration of paintings should be substituted by carp glue. On the other hand both sorts of glues have to be tested with regard to their properties. The aim is the development of a new adhesive system not only for conservation/restoration but also for other application areas.
