Atomistic as well as Landau-Lifshitz-Bloch simulation will be performed in order to
optimize media properties for heat assisted magnetic recording. Particular focus will
be on composite structures such as low/high Tc materials. Media parameters will be
optimized such as anisotropy in the layers, layer thickness, magnetization, exchange
coupling between layers and grains. Optimized media designs for granular as well as
bit patterned magnetic recording will be given.
