Proprietary project
Existing design tools, such as the ISO/OSI model and the automation pyramid (Computer Integrated Manufacturing, CIM), have limitations when it comes to dealing with the increasing complexity of modern automation systems. The introduction of profiles for fieldbus systems (Field Area Networks, FANs) was an enhancing innovation ¿ but what can we expect to happen next in the automation field? In the past, scientists studied examples from nature to define bionic models and get answers to the question, how to create models that are suitable for future automation systems.
