Austrian Quantum Simulation Infrastructure

01.01.2023 - 31.12.2025
Forschungsförderungsprojekt

The project is aimed at establishing a first-generation quantum simulation infrastructure in Austria. Based on the world-leading role that Austria has played in developing and advancing quantum simulation concepts in theory and experiment, several experimental platforms, ranging from cold atoms, molecules, ions and Rydberg atoms to novel quantum materials, will be brought to readiness for quantum simulation purposes. The various experimental setups, all based on the full control of specific interacting quantum many-body systems, will be turned into quantum simulation facilities with the aim to allow external users from e.g. theory and industry to run quantum simulation tests and protocols for the advancement of quantum science and the development of novel materials and devices.
